One Line Synopsis: A lonely man attempts to make a connection.
Brief Synopsis: Stanley is alone, middle-aged, and in poor health. Between taking pills and delivering newspapers, his life is not much fun. His lone confidant does not share his belief in extra-terrestrials. As things get worse, he hopes for a way out of his situation.
Director Bio: Zach Finch is a native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He began making films in earnest in high school with his friends, equipped with little more than duct tape and green cloth. In addition to directing, Zach has worked on a number of short films in various capacities including producer, composer, and actor. In 2007, he joined forces with Jason Hafeman to create Main Line Media Productions. He is currently pursuing his master of arts degree in English-Film Studies at North Carolina State University.
Actor Bios:
Michael Cook is a veteran actor of stage and screen. His versatility can be seen in his roles in Hollywood feature films such as Stranger Than Fiction (2006, dir. Marc Forster) with Dustin Hoffman and Fred Claus (2007 dir. David Dobkin) with Paul Giamatti. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Mike has also had a distinguished career in radio.
Paula Meyer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She has acted in theatrical musicals and enjoys ultimate frisbee. In the Fall of 2007, Paula spent a semester studying in Thailand. "The Paper Man" is her second collaboration with Zach Finch.
